Pilates Reformer

While working primarily with the classic Reformer — an elegant, infinitely adjustable apparatus that uses springs and pulleys to provide finely tuned resistance — the instructor may also use small props such as rings and bands to challenge the whole body while focusing on core muscles. This class is designed to strengthen and firm the body while improving posture, flexibility, balance and core development.​
Utilizing advanced Reformer exercises, this fast-moving class is designed take experienced Pilates students to their next level of fitness. Less time is spent on explanation so that the class flows more with less breaks and rest. A challenging class for intermediate and advanced students only. Jumpboards may be used during this class.
You’ll feel this one tomorrow! Featuring traditional Pilates Reformer interval training — on steroids! A suped-up combination of non-stop movements and strength training that flows more than a traditional class and includes advanced Pilates exercises. Advanced/Intensity Pilates Reformer will work your body to the max and leave your muscles aching…in a good way. Not recommended for beginners.

Cardio Pilates Reformer Jumpboard is a fast-paced Reformer workout that keeps your heart rate up while building and toning your body as only Pilates can. The class puts special emphasis on the Reformer’s Jump Board to keep students in constant motion and energized from start to finish. This class is for the conditioned student, taught at a faster pace and jumping for a minimum of 30-40 minutes.

Joseph Pilates Tower is a later adaptation of the Cadillac exercises. Our exclusive Pilates Tower Workout augments spring-based Tower work to challenge and strengthen the entire body. Offering a range of exercises only the Tower can provide — utilizing the push-through bar, roll back bar, leg springs and arm springs — the Tower Workout builds control and deepens flexibility while strengthening the core.​
​​Considered to be the most challenging apparatus of Pilates equipment, the Pilates Chair utilizes traditional forms of the Reformer exercises enabling multi-planar movement with various spring resistances that effectively work the whole body with a special focus on building balance and strengthening the core, legs and shoulders.
​​A must for devoted Pilates students, this new class combines our exclusive Pilates Tower and Chair Workouts. Utilizing these two classic pieces of Pilates equipment, the class provides a perfect synergy of essential Pilates exercises.

This class will stretch, lengthen and strengthen the entire body and reinforcing core development and stabilization while utilizing both of Joseph Pilates traditional apparatus, the Reformer & the Tower.
​​Learn how Pilates exercises transfer from the Pilates Chair to the Reformer and engage different muscle recruitment. Great way to learn about new equipment and exercises to properly fire the core.
You better work! Moving Strength has designed a one-of-a-kind TOTAL Pilates workout with core-centered traditional Pilates exercises, combining the most rigorous elements of Pilates Reformer, Chair, Tower and props — utilizing each to its maximum effectiveness.

Pre/ Post-Natal Pilates Equipment Class is taught by our Certified Healthy Moms® instructors, this one-of-a-kind class helps moms build their core strength, restore muscle tone and lose that baby weight after delivery, and prepares moms-to-be for the physiological changes that occur during pregnancy and for labor and delivery. Post natal moms enjoy the workout while returning quicker to their pre-pregnancy weight. Utilizing the Pilates reformer, chair and tower — and your natural resistance baby — the class offers an opportunity to bond with fellow moms and expectant moms while building strength and endurance.
​​An amazing class for teens to experience the Pilates Reformer! Taught by an instructor who knows how to make it exciting for teens with fun, engaging and hard work on the Pilates Reformer.
PLATE STRENGTH CLASSES

Restorative Plate Strength is a uniquely designed class for the beginner to the seasoned athlete as well as anyone in recovering mode or rehabilitating an injury, making this the ideal class for everyone! Our program is an excellent addition to any and all exercise regimes. The class dynamics focus on warming up the body through a series of postures on the vibrating platform, an abdominal sequence for strengthening the entire core then a cool down period. The assist of Whole Body Vibration while stretching allows the muscular structure to open up while receiving a relaxing massage. This slower based class will give you the benefits of strengthening, stretching and a massaging which creates an overall refreshed and rejuvenated self, in both mind and body. ​

Conceived by U.S. Navy SEALS and developed by Fitness Anywhere®, TRX® Suspension Training® is a revolutionary system of exercise that leverages your body weight to build strength, flexibility, balance and mobility— all at the intensity you choose. TRX® Suspension Training® conditions the entire body safely and effectively while continuously activating the core muscles to build strength, stability and balance. This is a challenging class that can be adapted to any fitness level by increasing or decreasing the load against gravity when executing exercises. Modifications will be provided up and down.

​​TRX with fewer breaks in order to maintain an elevated heart rate! While focused as usual on building strength and correcting alignment through TRX suspension, the class moves fast to provide a vigorous calorie-burning cardio workout.
A powerful routine combining two modalities designed to use the student’s own body as resistance to build the core and improve strength, posture and flexibility.
Utilizing adjustable suspension bands anchored into the wall or ceiling, TRX exercises can be adapted to any fitness and intensity level by adjusting the angle of the body. TRX conditions the entire body while activating the core muscles for improved stability and balance.
Floor-based Pilates Mat aims to achieve the same benefits as Pilates equipment: improved strength, posture, flexibility and long, toned muscles. Mat work strengthens the core abdominal and back muscles to prevent or treat back pain and improve coordination, posture, balance and alignment.

The class combines TRX Suspension Training, a revolutionary system that leverages your body weight to build strength, flexibility and balance, with ballet barre work, a graceful yet powerful discipline that works the core, legs, arms and glutes like no other.
TRX conditions the entire body safely and effectively while continuously activating the core muscles to build strength, stability and balance. The exercises can be adapted to any fitness and intensity level by adjusting angle of the body, which increases or decreases the load against gravity.
Utilizing exercises based on classic ballet positions, the ballet barre segment of the class aims to help students develop the technique, and the lean muscle body and look, of a ballet dancer. Ballet barre’s small, precise, yet powerfully effective movements help strengthen the core, lift the rear, and tone the thighs and arms.

Using the student’s own body as resistance, the floor-based Pilates Mat class aims to achieve the same benefits as equipment classes: improved strength, posture, flexibility and long, toned muscles. Pilates Mat strengthens the core, abdominal and back muscles to prevent or treat back pain and improve coordination, posture, balance and alignment — producing a lasting sense of well being in the process.
